I sit at the intersection of design and engineering — most comfortable when I'm closing the gap between the two. Over the past decade I've shipped motion systems at scale, built generative pipelines before they had a name, and written the code that brought the designs to life. Right now that means vibe-coding component libraries, designing for AI states, and figuring out what agentic interfaces actually feel like to use. I care about systems that are honest about what they're doing — and fast enough to not get in the way.

and currently based in Berlin. Growing up in the United States as a first generation Cambodian with Buddhist upbringings, his personal philosophies have married ancient Eastern views with modern Western pop-culture beliefs. This has touched all aspects of his work. Now based in Berlin, he has begun to explore the uncharted realm of Al-generated art. While other Al artists explore the expansive and infinite possibilities this medium represents, Mal has concentrated his focus on something he described as "the collapse of diversity in a system."
